Can writing in a virtual group help heal trauma?
NCT ID NCT05553249
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a therapy called Written Exposure Therapy (WET) could be delivered effectively online and in a group setting to help military and police personnel with PTSD. The main goal was to see if this virtual group format was practical and acceptable to participants, and to check if it helped reduce trauma and depression symptoms. Researchers measured symptoms before, during, and for three months after five 90-minute virtual group sessions.
