Can a phone app chatbot help beat opioid addiction?

Summary
This study is testing whether a smartphone app with an animated virtual coach can help people stay on their medication for opioid addiction. One hundred people starting treatment at Boston Medical Center will be randomly assigned to either use the app with reminders and support or receive standard care. The main goal is to see if the app helps people stay in treatment for a full year.
