Can thinking about exercise ease back pain? new study explores Mind-Over-Muscle approach
NCT ID NCT07285824
Summary
This study is testing whether simply imagining a specific back exercise can help reduce pain and improve movement in people with chronic low back pain. Researchers will guide 40 participants through a brief mental exercise session where they visualize performing a back extension movement. They will measure changes in pain, fear of movement, flexibility, and whether pain shifts from the legs toward the lower back immediately after the session.
