Video calms nerves before prostate biopsy, study finds
NCT ID NCT07156747
Summary
This study tested whether showing patients a video about a prostate biopsy procedure could reduce their pain and anxiety during the test. Researchers compared three groups: one that got standard verbal instructions, one that saw a video, and one that saw still pictures. They found that the video was the most effective at lowering patients' reported pain and worry before and after the biopsy.
