First seen Nov 10, 2025 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested whether video-based coaching can help surgeons improve their skills and patient outcomes for ventral hernia repair. 59 surgeons from a national quality network participated. They were randomly assigned to receive live coaching, video feedback with annotations, or no extra help. The goal was to see if watching and discussing their own surgeries leads to better technique and fewer complications.
