New blood test aims to predict who will respond to immunotherapy

NCT ID NCT07155811

First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026

Summary

This study will test a new automated blood test that measures how well a patient's T-cells (immune cells) are working. The goal is to see if the test results match how well the cancer responds to standard immunotherapy drugs like anti-PD1 or anti-CTLA4. The study will include 100 adults with advanced solid tumors starting immunotherapy at one center in France.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

VIDAS® STIMM™ T RUO test (a blood test that measures T-cell function)

What this could lead to

If successful, this test could help doctors predict which patients will benefit from immunotherapy, allowing more personalized treatment decisions.

What could go wrong

This is an early observational study, not a treatment trial. The test may not reliably predict outcomes, and results may not apply to all cancer types or treatments.
