First seen Apr 22, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 7 times

Summary

This study looks at how aging cells in blood vessels contribute to heart disease. Researchers will measure DNA damage and other markers in 300 people with different types of chest pain or early heart disease. The goal is to understand why some plaques become unstable and cause heart attacks, which could lead to better ways to predict and treat heart disease.
