Show and tell: heart scan images may help patients lower cholesterol and avoid statin side effects
NCT ID NCT06413641
First seen May 11, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026
Summary
This study looks at whether showing people their own coronary CT scan images can motivate them to lower their LDL cholesterol and reduce side effects from cholesterol-lowering medication. About 273 adults with early, non-blocking artery plaque are being followed for 12 months. The goal is to see if this visual feedback helps prevent the disease from progressing.
