First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is testing VEVYE eye drops (cyclosporine 0.1%) in 50 adults with dry eye disease who also have a neuro-ophthalmic condition, such as neurotrophic keratitis. Participants use the drops twice daily for 6 months. Researchers will measure changes in corneal staining and symptom scores to see if the drops improve signs and symptoms of dry eye in this specific patient group.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- cyclosporine ophthalmic solution 0.1% (VEVYE)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could show that VEVYE is a safe and effective short-term option for managing dry eye in people with neuro-ophthalmic conditions.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early observational study with no control group, so results may not be conclusive. It only looks at short-term effects and may not apply to all dry eye patients.
