NCT ID NCT05054738

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a six-session recovery program combined with a home telehealth service can help veterans with alcohol or drug problems drink or use less and stay in treatment. About 195 veterans from a VA psychiatric unit will be randomly assigned to the combined program, the telehealth alone, or standard care. Researchers will track alcohol use, drug use, and treatment attendance for up to three months after discharge.
