Balance training could slash fall risk in Alzheimer's patients

Summary
This study tests whether vestibular therapy—exercises that train the inner ear balance system—can reduce falls in people with Alzheimer's disease. About 100 older adults with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's and known balance problems will be randomly assigned to receive the therapy or a control activity. Researchers will track how many falls each person has over one year to see if the therapy makes a difference.
