Balance training may cut fall risk in Alzheimer's patients
NCT ID NCT03799991
First seen Jan 12, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether vestibular therapy—exercises that improve inner ear balance—can reduce falls in people with Alzheimer's disease. Many Alzheimer's patients have balance problems, raising their fall risk. The trial will enroll 100 older adults with mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's and inner ear balance loss. Participants will receive either vestibular therapy or an active control, and researchers will track falls over one year.
