Special glasses aim to spot stroke in dizzy patients

NCT ID NCT05176015

Summary

This study tested whether using special magnifying glasses (Frenzel lenses) and a step-by-step checklist helps emergency room doctors better examine a patient's eye movements when they come in with sudden dizziness. The goal was to see if these tools make it easier to tell harmless inner-ear problems from more serious issues like a stroke. Researchers enrolled 120 patients to compare diagnosis with and without these tools.
