Doctors' words ease colonoscopy pain without drugs
NCT ID NCT07228884
Summary
This study tested whether positive, encouraging communication from doctors during colonoscopy can reduce patients' pain and anxiety when sedation isn't used. Researchers compared 102 adults who received either supportive verbal suggestions or standard care during their procedures. The goal was to find a simple, drug-free way to make colonoscopies more comfortable for patients.
