Doctors seek safer way to set breathing machines

NCT ID NCT07175194

Summary

This study aims to see if a simpler, safer scanning method (EIT) can be as reliable as a standard CT scan for finding the best air pressure setting on a breathing machine. Researchers will analyze existing data from 30 adults with severe lung failure who were on ventilators. The goal is to validate a tool that could help doctors set ventilators more safely without needing complex scans.
