New study aims to help ventilator patients breathe on their own faster

Summary
This study tests two ways to train the breathing muscles of patients on ventilators to help them wean off the machine. About 60 adults with respiratory failure will be randomly assigned to one of two training methods. The goal is to see which method leads to faster and more successful removal of the ventilator.
