NCT ID NCT04068012

First seen Apr 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study is testing a computer program that helps doctors make better decisions about ventilator settings for children with severe lung injury (PARDS). The tool is based on the best available evidence and aims to reduce differences in care between hospitals. Up to 180 children on breathing machines will take part to see if the tool is easy to use and if doctors follow its advice. If successful, a larger study will check if it shortens time on the ventilator.
