First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated Apr 25, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looked at whether placing tiny tubes in the ears of children aged 1-4 with chronic ear fluid (glue ear) improves their sleep and quality of life. Sixty children were randomly assigned to get ear tubes or not. Their sleep was tracked with a wrist monitor, and parents filled out questionnaires. The goal was to see if the tubes help children sleep better and improve daily life for the child and family.
