New drug cocktail offers hope for Tough-to-Treat leukemia

Summary

This study tests a combination of two drugs, venetoclax and decitabine, in 20 adults with acute myeloid leukemia that has returned or not responded to prior therapy. The goal is to see if the combo can shrink or control the cancer and help patients move toward a stem cell transplant. The treatment is given by mouth daily for 10 days per cycle.
