Using your own vein to shield nerves and stop painful scarring

NCT ID NCT07267663

Summary

This study is testing a surgical technique to improve recovery from traumatic nerve injuries in the arm. Doctors will wrap a small piece of the patient's own vein around the repaired nerve to act as a protective barrier. The goal is to see if this reduces painful scar tissue formation and helps the nerve heal better, leading to less pain and better hand function.
