First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at how well different veins in the body collapse when a person is in shock from severe injury. Doctors will use ultrasound to measure collapse in the femoral vein, internal jugular vein, and inferior vena cava before and after giving fluids. The goal is to find the best way to guide treatment for trauma patients. About 50 adults with hypovolemic shock will take part.
