New hope for hard-to-treat lung cancer: targeted drug plus chemo enters trial

Summary
This study tests a new drug called vebreltinib combined with standard chemotherapy as a first treatment for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer that has a specific marker (MET overexpression) and no other treatable gene changes. The goal is to see if the combination can shrink tumors and control the disease. About 19 adults with newly diagnosed or recurrent stage IV lung cancer will take part.
