First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at how four different blood pressure medicines (ephedrine, phenylephrine, norepinephrine, and vasopressin) affect the contractions of the womb and umbilical cord blood vessels. Researchers will take small tissue samples from 144 women having planned C-sections and test these drugs in the lab. The goal is to understand which drug is safest for both mother and baby during C-sections.
