Can a Quit-Smoking pill help you stop vaping?

NCT ID NCT07040566

Summary

This study is testing if a prescription medication called varenicline, which helps people quit smoking cigarettes, is also effective for helping adults quit using e-cigarettes. Researchers will randomly assign 326 adults who vape daily to receive either the real medication or a placebo pill for 12 weeks, along with counseling. The main goal is to see if more people taking varenicline can successfully quit vaping, and the study will also check for changes in health markers related to cancer risk.
