First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study in a Bangladesh hospital tests whether training intensive care nurses in evidence-based practices and providing modern equipment can lower the rate of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), a common lung infection in patients on breathing machines. About 272 patients and their nurses will take part. The study compares infection rates and nurse skills before and after the training to see if the approach works.
