Summary
This study tested a new way of reporting lab results for patients on breathing machines who might have pneumonia. The goal was to see if changing how the lab reports test results could help doctors avoid prescribing antibiotics that aren't needed. The study included 161 adults in intensive care units and compared the new reporting method to the standard one.
