Summary
This study tested whether taking two blood pressure medicines together (valsartan and hydrochlorothiazide) works better than taking just one (valsartan) for people with hypertensive heart disease. 118 adults aged 18-70 took part for 8 weeks. The goal was to see which approach controls blood pressure and heart damage more effectively.
