Old drug, new fight: epilepsy medication tested to boost cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT06714357
Summary
This study is testing if adding valproic acid, a drug used for epilepsy, to standard cancer drugs can better control advanced colorectal cancer that has returned after prior treatment. It will involve about 130 patients whose cancer has spread and who have already been treated with similar drugs. The goal is to see if this combination can slow cancer growth longer than the standard drugs alone.
