First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether a gentle nerve stimulation (applied to the ear) can reduce brain injury and inflammation after a stroke caused by a large blood clot. About 65 adults will either receive standard care or standard care plus the stimulation. Researchers will measure brain damage and inflammation markers in the blood over the first week.
