Scientists probe hidden link between vaginal bacteria and Post-Transplant pain
NCT ID NCT06649201
Summary
This study aims to understand a painful complication called vulvovaginal graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) that can occur after a stem cell transplant. Researchers will observe 40 women to see if the community of bacteria in the vagina changes after the transplant and if those changes are linked to developing GVHD. Participants will answer symptom questionnaires and have vaginal exams to collect samples before and after their transplant.
