New light therapy offers hope for Menopause-Related vaginal pain
NCT ID NCT05058313
Summary
This small pilot study tested a new medical device that uses gentle light therapy to treat vaginal atrophy in postmenopausal women. The device aims to reduce pain and improve vaginal health by stimulating tissue repair. Researchers primarily wanted to see if the treatment was safe and well-tolerated in 25 women whose symptoms hadn't improved with other non-invasive therapies.
