VA tests new training to curb risky prescriptions for veterans
NCT ID NCT05065502
Summary
This study tested two different training programs to help VA doctors and clinics improve how they prescribe medications. It focused on three areas: reducing unnecessary medications for older adults, safely using blood thinners, and offering therapy instead of pills for insomnia. The goal was to find the best way to help busy clinics consistently use these safer, recommended practices.
