VA tests Hands-On healing for Veterans' chronic back pain
NCT ID NCT07161661
Summary
This study is testing whether adding Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy (OMT)—a set of hands-on techniques where a doctor moves muscles and joints—to the usual VA medical care helps veterans and service members with chronic low back pain. It's a small, early-stage trial with 48 participants to see if this combined approach is practical and shows promise for reducing pain. The main goal is to gather initial data on how much it might help before planning larger studies.
