Doctors question need for repeat urine tests before stone surgery
NCT ID NCT06210425
Summary
This study looked at whether patients with kidney stones need to wait for a second urine test to show no infection before having surgery. Researchers followed 147 patients who had surgery after taking antibiotics for a urine infection. They checked if repeat urine tests after antibiotic treatment could better predict who might develop infections after the procedure.
