NCT ID NCT05333679
First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 33 times
Summary
This study tested a new urine test that can quickly show if people with HIV are taking their medication as prescribed. The test looks for tenofovir, a common HIV drug, in urine. Researchers compared the urine test results with blood tests and pharmacy records to see if it could help clinic staff identify adherence problems early. The goal is to provide extra support before the virus becomes detectable again.
