Urine test could revolutionize DMD drug trials

NCT ID NCT07332013

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 22 times

Summary

This study is looking at whether a protein called titin, found in urine, can be used as a marker for muscle injury in people with Duchenne or Becker muscular dystrophy. Researchers will measure titin levels before and after physical activity, and compare them to activity levels recorded by a wearable device. The goal is to develop a non-invasive tool that could make future clinical trials for new treatments faster and more accurate.
