New stent aims to ease chronic ureter blockages
NCT ID NCT00790686
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a special stent called MEMOKATH 051 in 13 adults with long-term ureter blockages who usually need a standard double J stent. The goal was to see how long the new stent lasts and how well it is tolerated over 3 years. Participants had the new stent placed during a short procedure and were followed with exams and imaging. If problems occurred, the stent was changed back to the standard type.
