Robot arm trainer could help stroke survivors regain movement
NCT ID NCT07450274
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study is testing whether a robotic device called Pablo Tyromotion, combined with standard physical therapy, can improve arm and hand function in people who had a stroke months or years ago. 120 participants aged 45-80 with some remaining arm weakness will undergo 4 weeks of daily training. The goal is to see if the device helps them move better and regain strength.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Pablo Tyromotion device (robotic rehabilitation device)
What this could lead to
If successful, this could provide a more effective way to regain arm movement and strength after a stroke, improving daily life for survivors.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with no blinding or placebo, so results may not be definitive. The device may not offer significant benefit over standard therapy alone.
