Beauty salons join fight against HIV: new online program aims to boost PrEP use

Summary
This study tests a new online program called UPDOs Protective Styles to help Black women in the southeastern United States learn about and start using PrEP, a medicine that prevents HIV. About 1000 women from 32 beauty salons will either use the program (videos, blogs, and telehealth) or receive standard information. Researchers will see if the program increases PrEP use and understanding over one year.
