Study tests if testing all young cancer patients for genetic risk finds more hidden dangers

NCT ID NCT04533555

Summary

This study aimed to find the best way to check young adults with cancer for inherited genetic risks. It compared the standard method, where doctors decide who gets tested based on guidelines, to a new method where everyone gets tested. The goal was to see if testing everyone finds more patients and their family members who have a higher genetic risk for cancer.
