Scientists probe the mystery of dizziness when standing
NCT ID NCT00608725
First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looks at why some people, especially young women, feel dizzy, tired, or have a racing heart when they stand up—a condition called orthostatic intolerance. Researchers will measure things like blood volume, sweat response, and heart rate in 260 participants to better understand what goes wrong. The goal is to describe the underlying mechanisms, not to test a new treatment.
