Summary
This study looks at children aged 3 to 17 who have frequent problem behaviors like aggression or self-injury. Researchers want to understand why these behaviors sometimes get worse at the start of a new therapy, a pattern called an extinction burst. By observing 40 children, they hope to find ways to make treatment safer and more effective.
