Why women ignore their cancer risk numbers

NCT ID NCT06441474

Summary

This study aims to understand why some women reject or disagree with their personalized breast cancer risk estimates. Researchers will survey 750 women aged 39-74 to identify factors that lead to risk rejection and see how this affects their actual mammogram screening behavior over 12 months. The goal is to improve how risk information is communicated to support better health decisions.
