Brain scan study aims to decode Migraine-Related white matter spots
NCT ID NCT05112289
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times
Summary
This study uses advanced MRI scans to better understand white matter hyperintensities (bright spots on brain images) found in women with migraines. Researchers will compare these spots to those seen in other conditions like small vessel disease and multiple sclerosis. The goal is to classify the underlying cause of these spots in migraine, not to test a treatment. About 50 women aged 20-45 will participate.
