Ultrasound may spare UC patients from frequent scopes
NCT ID NCT07358923
First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study will test whether a modified ultrasound technique can accurately measure inflammation in people with moderate-to-severe ulcerative colitis. About 25 adults starting a new medication will get both ultrasound and colonoscopy exams over 24 weeks. If ultrasound proves reliable, it could offer a needle-free, less invasive way to monitor disease activity.
