Quick scan could protect kids from unnecessary radiation
NCT ID NCT05910567
Summary
This study is testing if a fast, bedside ultrasound can help doctors decide which injured children really need a CT scan. It involves over 4,300 children who come to the emergency room after a blunt injury to the belly. The goal is to safely reduce the number of CT scans, which expose children to radiation, without missing serious injuries.
