Summary
This study looked at whether ultrasound can correctly confirm a new blood clot in the same leg as a previous one. Researchers checked 18 adults with a history of deep vein thrombosis who had a suspected new clot. They compared ultrasound images taken at the start and after 3 months of blood thinners to see if the clot changed, which would help avoid false diagnoses and unnecessary treatment.
