Doctors test quicker, safer way to gauge blood loss in crash victims

NCT ID NCT07264374

Summary

This study aims to find the best and easiest way to use bedside ultrasound to check how much blood a severely injured patient has lost. Researchers will compare three different veins in the neck, groin, and abdomen, scanning patients before and after they receive fluids in the emergency room. The goal is to help doctors make faster, non-invasive decisions about treatment for trauma patients in shock.
