Simple scan could sharpen deadly lung disease risk predictions

NCT ID NCT07266012

Summary

This study tested whether a new ultrasound scoring method, called VExUS, could help doctors better assess risk in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Researchers compared the ultrasound score to the standard risk assessment tools and measurements taken during a heart catheterization procedure. The goal was to see if this scan could provide a clearer picture of a patient's condition and help guide their treatment.
