New scan aims to give cancer patients faster answers on treatment

NCT ID NCT05957042

Summary

This study aimed to test if a special type of ultrasound scan, called contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), could tell doctors earlier if a patient's triple-negative breast cancer was responding to a combination of chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The goal was to see if changes on this scan could predict treatment success sooner than standard MRI or CT scans. The study was withdrawn before any participants were enrolled.
